The Reds, who are back in the Champions League next term having finished in the top four for only the second time since 2009 last season, may well be on the lookout for a number nine to lead the line as they look to build on the progress made in 2016-17.
They already have an array of attacking talent, but upgrades may need to be made if Liverpool are to seriously push for the Premier League title.
A deal for Roma winger Mohamed Salah is still on the table according to Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph, but that would represent just a fraction of their transfer activity as the Reds look to strengthen in defence and midfield too.
Even the Virgil van Dijk saga may not be over yet, with Jamie Redknapp being quoted in the Liverpool Echo as saying “If Van Dijk is up for sale and he wants to go to Liverpool, and Liverpool have the money to buy him, the chances are he’ll go there.”
