Liverpool are one of three European teams interested in signing Chelsea youngster Ola Aina, according to Adrian Kajumba of the Mirror.
The Reds, along with Italian side Napoli and German club Borussia Dortmund, are keen on bringing in the 19-year-old as his contract expires in the summer.
Aina, who has recently been capped for the England Under-20 side, is primarily a right-back, but he is versatile enough to play at left-back and at centre-half.
As the youngster’s contract will expire at the end of June, he’ll be able to start talking with other club’s in January about a summer move, and Liverpool are hopeful that their record of giving young players a chance in the first team will persuade the defender to make the move to Merseyside.
Aina has yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea, although he did feature in pre-season. He was also an unused substitute in the Blues’ League Cup win over Walsall in late September.
