Liverpool and Arsenal are set to do battle in an attempt to sign Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos from Real Betis, according to the Mirror.
Ceballos is out of contract next summer and is reportedly being scouted by both the Reds and the Gunners, who could both look to take him in January for a reduced fee.
As per the report in the Mirror, the Spain Under-21 international has a release clause of £7.5m in his contract, but with less than one year left on his current deal, he could be sold for less in January as Betis will not want to risk losing him for free in the summer.

Ceballos was part of the Spain Under-19 side that won the European Championships, and recently spoke about committing his future to Real Betis, but he is still to sign a contract to confirm his intentions.
He was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer, but quickly dismissed a move and insisted he wanted to stay at his current club, telling AS:
I want to continue at Betis and enjoy these fans for many years. They trust me because I have never failed them.
I have always given everything for this shirt and I only think about returning all of the affection that I have received from the Beticos.
