It’s about time that a young player broke through from the academy and became a regular in the Liverpool side.
Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe did it recently, but both of those are now playing elsewhere and the Reds’ side is now pretty much made up of players who were signed to be first team players straight away.
Sheyi Ojo is the one player we have in and around the first team who came through the academy structure, but he’s still a rotational player at best at this moment.
The club still have some good players in the 20-23 range, but we’re looking at the group below those to see who we think could be the next big thing.
To do this, we need your help and as such, we’ve created a duel.
We’ve selected some of Liverpool’s teenage youngsters and we will look to see who has the brightest future. We’ve excluded any players who we already see as first-team players, such as Joe Gomez and Ojo but a few of these have made senior appearances but haven’t established themselves just yet.
We will display two of these players at random and you need to select which one you think has more chance of becoming a Liverpool first-team star in the future.
We’ll go ‘winner-stays-on’ style until we get an eventual winner.
