Simon Mignolet was to blame for Norwich City’s equaliser at Anfield on Sunday, but he has said that he won’t change his game because of it.
As per the Guardian, Mignolet insists he would go for that ball again tomorrow.
“I’ll look into my game on Monday – see what was positive and what I could have done better,” said Mignolet. “That’s what I always do. The next time a ball comes in like that I’ll still come for it and try to get something on it.”
Liverpool’s first-choice stopper described his thought process in attempting to deal with the corner:
“I came for the ball, it was a whipped-in cross, and I tried to get a fist to it.
It’s one of those that comes out, they picked up the second ball and scored from it.
Liverpool had no player on the goal line that could have scurried across and bailed out the ‘keeper.

The Belgian rues the fact that a set piece cost them against Norwich after focusing on them in training.
“It’s always disappointing to concede from a set piece, especially as we’ve been working hard on defending them this week,” said the former Sunderland man.
Norwich were always likeliest to score from a dead ball, as Mignolet acknowledges:
We knew they are a threat from them. We have to learn lessons from that. Unfortunately, that goal has cost us.
Liverpool now have just four points from a possible nine at Anfield this season and two of the teams who have visited are newly-promoted sides.
Carlisle United are the visitors in the Capital One Cup in midweek, before the Reds welcome Aston Villa – who have a good record at Anfield in recent seasons – on Saturday afternoon.
Failure to win either of those games would increase the pressure on Brendan Rodgers, who is currently the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.
