Liverpool’s Europa League campaign started with a draw away to French side Bordeaux, and was followed up with another underwhelming display against FC Sion, which also finished 1-1.
This week, they play their second home tie of the competition against Russian side Rubin Kazan, a team they’ve never played before.
Despite having a lack of familiarity when these particular opponents, Liverpool supports will have some memories of Russian teams visiting Anfield in various European competitions.
