The close proximity to Liverpool saw a huge number of supporters make the short trip across the Mersey to see the game, and on the whole, they’ll feel that they got to see a pretty decent game of football.
Liverpool used two completely different sides in each half, with plenty of youngsters getting a chance to impress.
The Reds also gave ‘debuts’ to new signings Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Sadio Mane.
