Derby victories are always special, yet Liverpool’s win on Wednesday evening was extra special as it was one of the most one-sided Merseyside derbies in living memory.
The Reds hammered Everton 4-0 and in truth, that scoreline flattered Everton as the home side could easily have scored more goals.
In the end, Kopites had to ‘settle’ for four with Divock Origi, Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho finding the back of the net.
The only real negative from the game was the ankle injury suffered by Origi after a terrible tackle by Ramiro Funes Mori which quite rightly earned the defender a red card.
We want to know who the fans think Liverpool’s stand-out player was in the game and to find this out, we have set up a duel.
Our Duel feature will present you with two players and you’ll just need to select which of the two you thought had a better game. You’ll then be able to see which players other supporters thought played well by checking out the leaderboard.
We’ll go through all of the players in a ‘winner stays on’ type vote, so, the player you click with the final vote should be your own Man of the Match.
