There is a lot riding on Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
The game has a fairly similar feel to the corresponding fixture last season, in which the Reds could have leapfrogged their rivals and assumed the ascendancy in the race for fourth, but instead slumped to a 2-1 defeat which ultimately killed them off.
While a win for Jurgen Klopp’s side this weekend wouldn’t see them move into the Champions League positions, it would put them level with United, who are likely to be there or thereabouts come May.
Here is our combined XI of Liverpool and United players.
