Four Findings: Leicester City 2-0 Liverpool

Liverpool headed to King Power Stadium to face league leaders Leicester City for the start of the Reds’ jam-packed February.

Having beaten the unlikely table toppers on Boxing Day, Liverpool had a chance to double the side that has only lost twice this season.

An opening 15 minutes of frantic pace from both teams only saw a reprieve when the ball was knocked out of play. Despite Liverpool gaining an edge and controlling most of the first half, they could not convert it into a lead. It is a familiar story.

In fact, this match served to amplify a number of familiar themes that have caused Liverpool to languish for most of the campaign. There were noticeable changes to the setup and tactics, but none of it seemed to work.

Here are four findings from the match.
