Four Findings: Liverpool 3-0 Exeter City

Liverpool dispatched Exeter City in a way that is more in line with expectations, regardless of a young line-up. Jurgen Klopp’s commitment to the kids at home came good, as the Reds advanced 3-0 at Anfield to advance in the FA Cup.

After the disappointment of a draw in Devon, Joe Allen put Liverpool ahead inside 10 minutes and the side never looked troubled. While there was a slight spell of tension, the Merseysiders dominated their League Two opponents and eventually coasted to victory.

Substitute Sheyi Ojo added his first goal for the first team, becoming the youngest FA Cup scorer in the club’s history. It finished the game, but Joao Carlos Teixeira also netted his first for an emphatic victory. It was one of the stronger showings by the club in recent memory. Liverpool now await West Ham United at the end of the month.

Here are four findings from the match.
