It is a mad, mad game, football. The Reds snatched a last-minute victory from the prospects of an embarrassing defeat in a crazy Carrow Road clash, as Norwich City fell 5-4 to Liverpool.
After trailing the Canaries 3-1, Liverpool surged back, scoring four more goals, even answering Norwich’s dramatic 90-minute score with one of their own. It was by far the best worst match of the season – maybe for some time.
Jurgen Klopp’s post-match comments summed up the afternoon, “If you win 5-4 it’s a funny story, but it’s not that funny!”
In truth, the win did little but paper over the cracks that are gaping a little wider than ever. With only a week left in the transfer window, not bringing in some quality is tantamount to mismanagement at this point.
Here are four findings from the match.
