Trent Alexander-Arnold is an “absolutely outstanding” footballer, according to Gary Lineker.
The 20-year-old produced a fantastic performance against Watford on Wednesday, as Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners at Anfield.
His first-half showing, in particular, was up there with the best full-back displays of the season, with some of his crossing proving to be world-class.
Alexander-Arnold notched three assists in total, showing just how big a miss he has been during his spell out injured.
His efforts did not go unnoticed on Twitter, as Lineker discussed an upcoming interview with the Reds’ young star, heaping praise on him in the process:
Twitter: The day before you’re lined up to interview players it’s great when they play well. Tomorrow I’m meeting… https://t.co/AUv5vM7Nff (@GaryLineker)
Alexander-Arnold is undoubtedly a special talent and he adds another dimension to Liverpool’s play when he is fit and firing.
The strides he has made in the last two years have been meteoric and he has the ability to reach huge heights in the future.
