Balotelli offered to Besiktas

The Guardian are reporting that Mario Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, has said that his client has been offered to Turkish side Besiktas.

The Italian striker, who is heading back to Liverpool following a loan spell in Italy with AC Milan, will be sold should the Merseysiders find the right deal for the former Manchester City man.

Raiola had this to say on his client’s current situation:

I offered Mario to Besiktas and I’m waiting for their answer.

Back in August 2014, the Reds brought in the Italian for £16m, but the price was never paid back by performances from Balotelli.

In his one season at Anfield, the 25-year-old only managed four goals in 28 appearances, with only one of his goals coming in the Premier League.

This summer, manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to offload Balotelli, with the Reds recieving bids from clubs in China, as well as Turkish giants Basiktas.

The Turkish club is likely to be Balotelli’s next destination, and he could be flying to the European country alongside another Liverpool man in defender Martin Skrtel who is calling a time on his eight-year stay at Anfield.

The Slovakian defender is also on his way to Turkey to join up with former Premier League star Robin Van Persie at Fenerbache, in a deal worth £5.5m.
