Besiktas are trying to terminate Loris Karius’ loan move from Liverpool as quickly as possible, according to Gunes.
It has been a testing season for the German goalkeeper, who has struggled for consistency at the Turkish club.
After being loaned out there following his disaster in last season’s Champions League final, his two-year deal looks unlikely to last the distance.
Recent rumours have suggested that Karius is keen on returning to Anfield early and that now also appears to be the aim of Besiktas.
Journalist Levent Gultekin claims that the club’s president, Fikret Orman, will look to accelerate the cancellation of Karius’ deal by talking to Liverpool in the near future.
Should all parties agree, the 25-year-old would be back on Merseyside in the summer, although his future is likely to lie elsewhere.
It may be impossible for Karius to represent the Reds again after his nightmare in Kiev, and Alisson is now the nailed-on first choice ‘keeper under Jurgen Klopp.
