A host of names have been linked with becoming Alisson’s new deputy at Anfield, from Alex McCarthy to Pepe Reina.

It is Adrian who the Reds have chosen to bring in and play second fiddle to the Brazilian, however.

The 32-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at West Ham, following the performances of Lukasz Fabianski last season.

He will prove to be a very able deputy to Alisson, with six years of Premier League experience behind him.

Adrian’s move is likely to confirmed on Monday, making him Liverpool’s third signing of the summer.

Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott have already joined, arriving from PEC Zwolle and Fulham, respectively.
