Ceballos can leave Madrid if they sign replacement

Liverpool target Dani Ceballos can leave Real Madrid this month on the condition that Los Blancos sign a replacement, according to the Express.

A whole host of names have been flung into Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho replacement hat but one of the strongest contenders has been Ceballos.

The Riyad Mahrez links have been played down, while RB Leipzig have confirmed Naby Keita will remain in Germany until the summer.

Ceballos has had a tough beginning to life at Madrid, featuring just 15 times, a permanent or loan move away to play regularly is what the 21-year-old needs especially with the World Cup just around the corner.

The Spaniard is also wanted by his former club, Real Betis, who are said to be his favoured destination if any move does materialise.

Ceballos earned a move to the reigning European champions through his form in the European U21 Championships, a tournament in which he won the Golden Ball.

He clearly has the ability but Ceballos has not been given a sufficient run of games to show why Real spent around €18 million on him.

Jurgen Klopp has stated he will only enter the market for the right player despite having the money to spend after the sale of Coutinho.
