Jurgen Klopp has been labelled as ‘pathetic’ by Chris Sutton, following the Liverpool manager’s outburst over the weekend.
The German was involved in a heated exchange with BT Sport‘s Des Kelly after Saturday’s 1-1 draw away to Brighton, clashing with the broadcaster over the Reds’ fixture schedule.
Klopp was unhappy about Liverpool having to play on Wednesday night and then Saturday lunchtime, giving his team little chance of recovery time.
Writing for the Daily Mail, Sutton laid into the Reds boss, criticising his behaviour:
To moan about playing at 12.30pm on Saturday was pretty pathetic. BT and Sky Sports pick the matches they want to show, as per their agreement.
Klopp and Liverpool signed up to that. Would he like it if the broadcasters picked his team?

Bias is always going to play in part in this debate, but Klopp has every right to be aggrieved with the situation.
He isn’t asking for preferential treatment, by any means, but the 53-year-old is correct in questioning why Liverpool aren’t even afforded 72 hours between matches.
Kicking off at 5.30pm (GMT) against Brighton would have made far more sense, putting one of teams to have played on Tuesday in the Champions League in the 12.30pm slot instead.
