Liverpool Player Ratings: Crystal Palace (A)

Liverpool were at their breathtaking best on Saturday as they resoundingly beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Reds moved clear at the top of the table after many juxtapositions previously at the summit, with a 7-0 away victory in what was a relentless and clinical performance from the outset by the defending Premier League champions.

Jurgen Klopp‘s side secured top spot for Christmas with a wealth of aesthetically pleasing goals, each of which wouldn’t look out of place on the nominations list for a goal of the month award.

Palace had their moments in the match, particularly in the first half, but the relentless Reds weren’t for stopping and, by half-time, goals from Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane and Robert Firmino had put Klopp’s men almost out of sight.

After the break, captain Jordan Henderson made it four shortly before Mohamed Salah entered the fray, chipping in with two strikes of his own after a deft Firmino finish had made it five.

With six days until Liverpool host West Brom, the well-worked squad can enjoy a short break before the action commences once again.

Here’s how we rated the magnificent seven-hitting table toppers…
