On a night whereby there was plenty to get irate about, Liverpool fans have been questioning Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Naby Keita on the bench as the Reds chased the game.
The reigning Premier League champions were enjoying more possession and in more advanced areas without being able to break Chelsea down, leading to the belief changes were afoot.
When those changes came it was Diogo Jota and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who were initially introduced, inexplicably with Mohamed Salah replaced.
Then, with just 10 minutes remaining things took another bizarre turn as the industrious James Milner entered the fray with the creative Keita left watching on – a decision Klopp himself went against a footballing point of view.
Whilst few could argue with Klopp’s decision making during the entirety of his tenure, Kopites have been reacting to the German’s brazen oversight.
