Liverpool fans fume with Jurgen Klopp over key decision in Chelsea defeat

A number of Liverpool supporters have been left fuming with Jurgen Klopp, following his decision to substitute Mohamed Salah against Chelsea.

The Reds lost a fifth Premier League home game in a row on Thursday night, with the Blues picking up a 1-0 win at Anfield.

It was yet another lifeless performance from Liverpool, who are now in serious danger of not even qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

On a night full of poor individual displays, Salah did at least vaguely look like making something happen, even if he was still muted by his world-class standards.

Incredibly, Klopp decided to replace him with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the second half, keeping under-performing pair Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino on the pitch instead.

It was a decision that made little sense, and predictably, Liverpool did nothing once Salah had been removed.

These Reds supporters took to Twitter to vent their fury at Klopp, following a truly baffling substitution.
