Gerrard confirms Rangers have made Kent offer

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has revealed that the club have made an offer to sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool permanently this summer.

The promising winger has spent the season on loan at Ibrox and appears to have done enough to prompt Gerrard into pushing to secure his services from his former club.

From 23 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, Kent found the net on six occasions and contributed with as many assists, too.

The 22-year-old is well-liked at Rangers, and Gerrard is seemingly doing all that he can to tie up a permanent deal for the winger.

As reported by The Daily Record, the Gers boss said:

We’re doing everything we can. We’re speaking to Liverpool, we’re in touch with Ryan’s representatives, we’ve made an offer and we’re hopeful but there’s nothing to say on it to confirm it but for our supporters what I can do is guarantee we’re doing everything we can to try and get him in.

We’ve got irons in the fire with numerous players but all I can say is watch this space.

Kent was once tipped to have a big future at Anfield, but as he continues to gain senior experience elsewhere, it seems he could be playing his football again in Scotland next season.

Gerrard has utilised the winger regularly, and he evidently features as a big part of his plans for the coming seasons.
