Cody Gakpo kept his place in the team as Liverpool secured a 2-0 win against Brighton.
The Dutchman has been in fine form this season with his consistent displays and was a constant thorn in the flesh of the Seagulls.
Liverpool had a few impressive displays across the pitch at Anfield, but it was Ronald Araujo who was named Man of the Match for his fighting display at the back.
And Gakpo feels the Uruguayan international is a different person when he steps on the pitch as he heaped praise on his performance.
Cody Gakpo showers high praise on Liverpool loanee Ronald Araujo
“He’s a very good guy, he’s funny and very caring,” said Gakpo after the game.
“He’s very serious about his work. The moment he steps on the pitch, he switches on and he goes in every duel that he thinks he can get.
“It’s important to have a solid back four and he’s playing amazing.”
The Dutchman also claimed the boys were thrilled after winning their first Premier League home game of the season.
“A very good win against a very top side. For us it was important to get the first win at home in the league and I’m very happy with that. It was a real team win.”
With Arsenal and Chelsea coming up, the Reds surely needed that as the next two games could present a handful of entirely new challenges.
