Jordan Henderson has described Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Barcelona as “unbelievable”, on an unforgettable night at Anfield.
The Reds completed one of the greatest turnarounds in European history on Tuesday evening, overcoming a 3-0 deficit to progress to the Champions League final.
It is surely the most memorable night in Anfield history, as Jurgen Klopp and his players performed heroically.
A double apiece from Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum inspired Liverpool to the most unlikely of victories, with either Ajax or Tottenham set to be their opponents in the final in Madrid on June 1st.
Speaking to BT Sport straight after the game, Henderson hailed the team’s efforts on a night that will never be forgotten:

I don’t think many people gave us a chance. Before the game, we knew it would be difficult but it was still possible for us.
The belief we’ve got in the changing room is amazing, as you can see. We knew, at Anfield, we could pull something special off. It’s unbelievable.
With the fans, all the lads, it’s a special night at Anfield like we’ve seen before – but this one is right up there with the best.
It was a quite remarkable response to the disappointment of Manchester City’s win over Leicester City on Monday night, keeping Liverpool’s slim hopes of an amazing double alive.
While City are expected to wrap up the Premier League title on Sunday, the Reds will surely go into the Champions League final as favourites, whoever they face.
