Burnley striker Danny Ings has decided that he would prefer to join Liverpool over Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sam Wallace of The Independent.
Liverpool’s interest in Ings is no secret but reports emerged this morning about Spurs’ liking for the England u21 international. It was also reported that Tottenham were willing to pay a larger fee for the player. However, with the soon-to-be free agent seemingly opting for Liverpool, the Merseyside club and Burnley can look to agree on a compensation fee for the forward.
If they fail to do so, the fee will be set by the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC).
Many clubs including Manchester United and Real Soceidad remain interested in Ings but it seems like Liverpool are pole position for him.
