Inter Milan are interested in a summer move for Sandro Tonali, according to Rai Sport, via Calciomercato.
The Brescia star is one of the most highly-rated young players in Italy, drawing comparisons with midfield legend Andrea Pirlo.
Tonali has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, but Inter have now joined the queue.
The 18-year-old is seen as someone who can strengthen the Nerazzurri‘s options in the middle of the park, with Ivan Rakitic and Tanguy Ndombele also pencilled in as targets.
Tonali has excelled this season, despite his tender years, making 28 appearances in Serie B for Brescia.
Should he move, it feels more likely that he will stay in his homeland for the time being, acting as a blow to Liverpool.
The Reds look well-stocked in midfield at the moment, however, with the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, James Milner and the returning Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all strong options.
