Joao Felix will leave Benfica this summer, claims journalist

Joao Felix is expected to leave Benfica at the end of the season, according to journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi.

The young striker is considered one of the most exciting emerging players in world football, having exploded onto the scene in 2018/19.

Felix has scored 18 goals in 39 appearances, leading to many of Europe’s top clubs monitoring him closely.

Liverpool are reportedly one of those, as Jurgen Klopp looks to make his squad even more imposing ahead of next season.

The Portuguese has a £100million release clause in his contract, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus among those also thought to be interested.

It may be that the Reds end up being priced out of a deal for Felix, with some of their rivals financially stronger.

It says so much about how far Liverpool have come under Klopp that they are in the mix for such special talents, however.

They are a team that any player in the world would be tempted to play for currently, as they look to seal a memorable Premier League and Champions League double.
