Liverpool target Naby Keita wants to wear the number 8 shirt at Liverpool, says former Reds striker Titi Camara as quoted in the Metro today, with odds slashed on the £70m transfer to be completed this summer.
The Merseyside club have already broken their transfer record once this summer as Mohamed Salah arrived from Roma last month, but it appears the £37m fee they paid for the Egyptian could be eclipsed by another African player during this transfer window.

It would be quite the statement from Keita if he was to take the number 8 jersey which has not been occupied by a Reds player since club legend Steven Gerrard swapped the Premier League for MLS.
His arrival would give Klopp a host of options in midfield for the upcoming campaign with Emre Can, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Marko Grujic – among others – already at his disposal.
