Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is content with the way Naby Keita has progressed following his summer move to the club.
The Reds boss spoke about the Guinean international’s position in the first-team squad and, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, defended the former RB Leipzig star.
Throughout the course of the season so far, Klopp has opted to utilise several other midfield options ahead of Keita, who has found regular football hard to come by.

The 23-year-old has started in Liverpool’s past two fixtures but has failed to make an impression, leading to questions over his place in the starting line-up for the foreseeable future.
Nevertheless, Klopp was quick to jump to the defence of his player and stated that the best is still to come from the midfielder. He said:
I’m happy so far but still a lot to come. Naby is an outstanding player but he still has to improve; minutes, games, language, all that stuff. Everything will be fine, and it is fine so far, but we can really expect a lot more still, that’s how it is.
Keita will be desperate to start when Liverpool take on West Ham United on Monday night.
