Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese has tipped Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid over Liverpool this summer.
The 22-year-old’s future could be one of the main transfer sagas this summer as he weighs up his options. PSG are keen to tie Mbappe down to a new deal, with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2022.
Liverpool and Real Madrid have both been reportedas leading candidates to sign the Frenchman, but speaking to El Partidazo de COPE [via The Mirror], Jese claimed that a move to the Santiago Bernabeu was most likely for his one-time PSG team-mate:
The Las Palmas striker said of Mbappe: “He would love to go to Real Madrid. His idol has always been Cristiano [Ronaldo]. He loves Madrid and I am sure he will play there one day.”

It is unknown how serious Liverpool’s interest in Mbappe is, but they should be doing all they can to sign the forward. The France international is a sensational prospect who, at 22, is already one of the best players on the planet.
Blessed with unstoppable pace, movement and end product – he has scored 107 goals in just 149 appearances for PSG – he is an ideal long-term replacement for any of Liverpool’s front three for those very reasons.
The lure of Madrid often proves too much to turn down for some top players, however, so it does feel as though a switch there, or extending his stay at the Parc des Princes, is more likely than a move to Anfield.
