RB Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick has admitted that Bayern Munich aren’t interested in signing Liverpool target Timo Werner this summer.
The Reds are thought to be in the market for another attacker over the summer to help Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino next season.
Pacey forward Werner, who has struck 19 times this season, has been one of the names linked with a big money move to Anfield.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain, along with Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, were all thought to be interested in signing the striker over the summer.
The German champions have had a recent habit of picking up star players in and around the Bundesliga, with Robert Lewandowski, Leon Goretzka and Niklas Sule all moving to the Allianz Arena in recent years.
However, Leipzig chief Rangnick, talking to Sport Bild, cited by the Daily Mirror, admitted that Bayern would have approached the club by now over a possible deal for Werner.
I would not be so sure that Werner will actually go to Bayern.
If Bayern were absolutely sure about Timo, they would have already officially contacted us with a request. Anything else would be unusual for Bayern, especially since we have a good relationship with them.
Our position has not changed: we do not want him to go into the last year of his contract without an extension.
The news comes as a welcome boost to Liverpool, who may now just have to fend off interest from PSG and Dortmund to sign the highly-rated 23-year-old.
