Liverpool and Manchester City are both reportedly keeping tabs on Flamengo youngster Reinier.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League pair are both monitoring developments on the player’s future amid interest from a host of clubs across Europe.

After impressing in Brazil, Reinier, who is under contract until 2020, is seen as one of the best young prospects coming through the ranks in his country.

AC Milan, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have all been credited with an interest in the player.

The report claims that scouts will be watching the player closely during Brazil’s U17s clash with Paraguay this week, but it is unclear at this stage as to whether or not any Liverpool officials will be among those in attendance.

Due to rules in Brazil, should any deal go through the player would not be allowed to leave until he turns 18 in the new year.
