More reports have claimed Liverpool want to do a deal for Pepe this summer, with journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi claiming that the Reds are scared by the silence from the player about his future.

Pepe is expected to depart Lille this summer, with the club president claiming that negotiations will begin after the player returns from the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, reports from England have continued to deny that Pepe will be joining the Reds, with Liverpool having “no interest” in any deal according to Dominic King of the Daily Mail.

According to 90min.com, the links could simply just be to get more money out of the clubs chasing the attacker, with sides such as Everton also linked with a deal for Pepe.
