Liverpool demand £25m for Dejan Lovren

Liverpool are set to demand £25m to let central defender Dejan Lovren leave the club this summer.

According to The Times journalist Paul Joyce, Liverpool will only sell Lovren for a minimum of £25m.

Joyce claims that there has been no contact from AC Milan, but they do rate Lovren highly – which suggests that there could be interest later in the window.

Lovren fell out of favour in the second half of the campaign, although it could be put down to an injury he suffered in the FA Cup against Wolves in January.

Joel Matip took his place in the team and became a regular fixture alongside Virgil Van Dijk in the defence, leaving Lovren to end the season watching on from the bench for Liverpool.
