Some Liverpool supporters have been left excited by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s comments about Jadon Sancho, suggesting it could enhance the Reds’ chances of signing him in the future.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has emerged as one of the most exciting young players in Europe, becoming a regular for England, too.
Sancho has scored 29 goals and registered 32 assists in the last two-and-a-bit seasons in the Bundesliga, highlighting how deadly he is in front of goal, despite his tender years.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old a number of times in the past, but nothing has come to fruition yet.
Sancho could be viewed as a long-term replacement for one of Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, as the world-class Reds pair slowly near the age of 30.
In the latest episode of Wingmen, starring Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, the former is asked who his best friend is in the England squad, barring Liverpool players.
Alexander-Arnold picks out Sancho as the individual he is closest to, which has unsurprisingly sent some Reds fans into overdrive.
These supporters took to Twitter to react to the Liverpool star’s comments, convincing themselves that he may be able to entice Sancho to Anfield one day.
