Liverpool fans will cling to any positive injury update this season as another key figure has gone down with one ailment or another throughout the campaign almost on a weekly basis.
However, Jurgen Klopp delivered a relatively optimising prognosis on three important players ahead of Sunday’s clash with Manchester City at Anfield, as communicated via James Pearce on Twitter.
Twitter: Massive boost for #LFC. Mane and Fabinho back in parts of team training today. Alisson better after illness. (@JamesPearceLFC)
Both Sadio Mane and Fabinho have been missing for Liverpool’s last two matches whilst Alisson Becker was forced to miss the defeat to Brighton in midweek with illness.
Despite recent setbacks, getting the trio back for a game of this magnitude, perhaps with Liverpool’s title retention hopes on the line, has sparked a wave of optimism among many Kopites on Twitter.
