Liverpool fans slam Takumi Minamino’s performance against Brighton

A number of Liverpool supporters are fuming with Takumi Minamino’s performance in the Reds’ 1-1 draw away to Brighton.

The Japanese was handed a rare opportunity to shine by Jurgen Klopp, as the manager made changes at the Amex Stadium.

With Sadio Mane rested, Minamino came into the team, taking up a midfield role in a 4-3-3 formation.

He was poor throughout, however, failing to have any kind of impact on the game, apart from one long-range effort.

As the minutes ticked by, it became increasingly hard to realise he was even on the pitch.

Minamino has been a disappointing signing for Liverpool so far, failing to make the impact some expected, having produced an exceptional performance for Salzburg at Anfield last season.

On a day when numerous Reds players struggled to find their best form, Minamino was arguably the poorest performer.

These Liverpool fans have been providing their thoughts on his display on Twitter.
