Liverpool fans slaughter Thiago after poor performance in Leicester defeat

A number of Liverpool fans have been laying into Thiago, following a poor performance against Leicester City.

The Reds lost 3-1 away to the Foxes on Saturday afternoon, as their woeful form continues.

Mohamed Salah’s opener looked to have set Liverpool on their way to victory, before they collapsed during a disastrous seven-minute spell in the second half.

It was Thiago’s needless foul that led to James Maddison equalising with a free-kick from out wide, before Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes added further goals for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The Spaniard was introduced during the first half, replacing the injured James Milner in the middle of the park.

In fairness, Thiago may not have been fully fit, but his performance was a long way from the ones he so often produced for Bayern Munich.

These Liverpool fans have been reacting to the 29-year-old’s disappointing showing and the tackle that allowed Leicester to equalise.

Liverpool outstanding up until 1-1. Thiago a liability defensively! The Keeper’s decision making gone awol last 2 games!! #LEILIV

Leicester 3-1 Liverpool. And do you know what? We were the better side today and deserved to win. Despite a lack of creativity in the final third and lack of ideas and speed. Otherwise, we had been good. Then that tackle by Thiago set us on our way to defeat. YNWA #LFC
