Some Liverpool fans are concerned after Andrew Robertson hinted that he picked up a potential hamstring issue on Scotland duty.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a night to treasure on Thursday, captaining his side to a penalty shootout win away to Serbia. The victory means Scotland have qualified for their first major tournament since 1998, representing a significant achievement.
Robertson will skipper his side in next summer’s finals in what will be one of the proudest moments of his career.
The left-back was emotional after the final whistle, almost struggling to comprehend the magnitude of his country’s achievement. Robertson managed to get through the post-match interview, but not without alarming Liverpool fans at the same time.
The Scotland skipper claimed that his hamstring felt tight during extra time, which is not what Jurgen Klopp will want to hear as he deals with a defensive crisis currently. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are both long-term absentees, and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho are also missing.
The hope is that it was just cramp, as Robertson alluded to in the same interview, but he has played a lot of football and Liverpool desperately need him to stay fit.
These Reds supporters took to Twitter to reveal their concern at his comments.

Get him back to @LFC. We can't afford to have another of our first choice backline in the treatment room.

Robertson just said his hamstring seized up a little in extra time, if he ends up being injured as well now…… pic.twitter.com/XpFI0omEEo
