This season has been more than eventful for Liverpool Football Club.
The Reds went into the campaign attempting to retain their title from the previous season.
Sadly for Jurgen Klopp and his men, thing’s didn’t quite go as planned.
Liverpool found themselves in 8th place after 28 games with just 43 points and seven points behind fourth-place Chelsea.
However, in a real turn of form and an incredible show of character, the Reds managed a third place finish.
For 30 games this season, Liverpool trailed Leicester, West Ham, Chelsea, and Tottenham, as Tweeted by Goal…
The final 10 games of the season saw the Reds managed 8 wins and 2 draws to take them up into third.
In doing so, they finished above Chelsea in fourth and ultimately pushed Leicester out of the top four.
The Foxes had been in prime position to finish in the top four for most of the season but crashed out on the final day for the second season running.
Liverpool likely won’t lose sleep over this though, with the club securing that all important Champions League spot.
It just goes to show the mountains that the club had to climb to ensure their place in the top four.
Despite no silverware to show for their efforts at the end of the campaign, the players know just how important this achievement is.
