Liverpool have no plans to re-sign unsettled Coutinho

Liverpool reportedly have no plans to re-sign Phillipe Coutinho from Barcelona, amid reports the midfielder is unsettled in Spain.

The Reds sold the Brazilian to the Calatan giants last year for a fee of over £142 million, but it has not been plain sailing for Coutinho in Spain.

According to the Mirror, however, Coutinho will not be returning to Anfield, despite some top clubs having an interest in signing the former Reds man.

Coutinho is expected to assess his situation at the end of the season, with Liverpool not expected to be in the running for the midfielder.

The Brazilian has been criticised by some for not living up to his price-tag at Barcelona.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde recently called on the former Liverpool man to work harder at Barcelona, with Coutinho responding by getting an assist in the win against Eibar.

Coutinho has been left to fight for his place in the team, despite his big price-tag.
