Liverpool have ‘strong interest’ in making a move for Perr Schuurs in January, according to Calciomercato [via Sport Witness].
The Ajax centre-back is a highly-rated prospect likened to Matthijs de Ligt and he impressed in a recent Champions League clash against the Reds.
Schuurs has already been linked with a move to Liverpool and those rumours are refusing to go away. This latest report states that the Reds see the 20-year-old as a potential January addition as Jurgen Klopp looks to make up for the loss of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injuries, with Schalke 04 prospect Ozan Kabak also being recently linked with a potential Anfield move.
AC Milan and Inter Milan are also keen on signing the Dutchman, however, with his current valuation set at €30m (£26.8m), but Ajax are reluctant to sell. [Calciomercato]

Schuurs really caught the eye against Liverpool, playing with a confidence and maturity well beyond his years. An imposing figure physically, the youngster was also impressive on the ball and has averaged a 91% pass completion rate in the Eredivisie this season.
Schuurs is still an inexperienced player, however, so if he was being brought in as a regular starter instead of someone like Dayot Upamecano, for instance, it could be deemed a risk.
It could be argued that Liverpool need to sign a more established player at centre-back in order to make up for the enormous loss of Van Dijk and Gomez, or sign Schuurs along with another defender.
