Liverpool youngster set to break club record tonight during EFL Cup clash with Norwich

Liverpool are set for a trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City tonight in the EFL Cup.

The Reds are going into the game off of the back of some fine form, enjoying a great start to the season.

Tonight will be a great chance for other players around the squad to get an opportunity that they may not usually.

Youngsters such as Curtis Jones and Caoimhin Kelleher are set for a place in the starting XI tonight.

However, it is another young star that seems to be catching the headlines ahead of tonight’s game.

According to The Daily Mail’s Dominic King, Reds youngster Kaide Gordon is set for a place in the history books…

At just 16-years-old, Gordon is set to become the youngest player in the club’s history.

The club signed the youngster from Derby County in January and he has already made a great impression.

Despite being integrated into the club’s U18 set up at first, Gordon had impressed throughout the pre-season.

With that came the teenager getting more opportunities to train with the first team.

Now, it looks as though the youngster is set to prove himself on the big stage with a start tonight.

It will be great to get a proper look at Gordon, especially against another Premier League side.

He has been tipped for big things at the club, and that all starts tonight against Norwich at Carrow Road.
