Liverpool are interested in signing Israel Salazar from Real Madrid, according to Bernabeu Digital.
The 16-year-old is a highly thought of prospect at the Spanish giants, as well as for Spain’s U17 side.
The Reds are not alone in chasing the teenager, with as many as 50 clubs thought to be tracking him.
Salazar reportedly wants to stay in the capital, however, which could prove to be a stumbling block.
It’s no surprise that Madrid want to keep hold of him, too, given the promise he has shown.
Liverpool have already made two teenage signings this summer, as they continue to plan for the future.
Centre-back Sepp van den Berg has arrived from PEC Zwolle, while the Premier League’s youngest-ever player, Harvey Elliott, has made the move from Fulham.
While acquiring Salazar’s signature would be an exciting capture, it doesn’t appear to be a move that feels likely at this current moment.
