Liverpool have made no contact with Piotr Zielinski.
Or at least, that’s what the player himself says. In the age of media-trained footballers it can be hard to distinguish fact from fiction, but the Napoli midfielder has stated that there is no basis to rumours linking him with a move to Merseyside.
The Reds saw the Polish international twice during the Champions League group stage, knocking the Serie A club out of the competition with a 1-0 victory in the last game of the group.

The 24-year-old is quoted by Four Four Two as saying:
I’ve never talked to Klopp. There’s nothing to say about Liverpool or anyone else,
I’m happy at Napoli. I’m working with a coach who I’ve learned a lot from. I want to play my best football for the rest of the season and then we’ll see what happens.
My representatives are discussing my renewal with Napoli and I’m only focused on playing football.
There was a time when I often thought about my future, and that was reflected in my mental state and performances. Now I leave these things to my agent.
The tried and tested “I leave these things to my agent” line has been heard before, but it does seem as though the effective two-way threat wants to stay at the San Paolo Stadium.
