Liverpool make offer for Rodrygo Goes

Liverpool made an offer to sign Santos starlet Rodrygo Goes according to his agent, the Metro reports.

The 17-year-old has caught the eye of several top European clubs having impressed for the Brazilian club since making his first team debut back in November.

Nick Acuro, the youngster’s agent, has confirmed that a bid had been made for his player from Liverpool, as well as from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, he went on to state that Goes is set to join Real Madrid.

We had offers from Liverpool, PSG and Barcelona, but they did not reach what Santos asked for.

Fifteen days ago, Madrid approached me, they met with the president and made their proposal, reaching the value that Santos always wanted.

Last week, the player did his medical with Madrid and then Santos gave the green light. The agreement is that he stays [at Santos] until June 30, 2019.

Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to pay £35million for 80% of the striker’s rights.

Rodrygo is set to become one of the highest paid teenagers in football with a deal that will see him earn £75,000 per week.
