Liverpool not interested in signing Julian Draxler

Liverpool are not interested in signing Paris St-Germain winger Julian Draxler, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Liverpool had been continuously linked with a move for Draxler since reports emerged last week that Paris Saint-Germain were ready to cash in on the German.

Jurgen Klopp showed a keen interest in signing the 23-year-old back in January and had held talks with the player, but Draxler snubbed a move to Anfield in order to join PSG.

Liverpool have already signed forwards Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke this summer and it is believed that they are not looking to complete a deal for another attacking player.

Having completed the signing of Neymar from Barcelona this summer for a world record fee of £198 million, Draxler is now believed to be surplus to requirements.

Draxler only joined PSG in January of this year after completing the switch from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, but the German is now heavily expected to leave the club this summer, with Chelsea and Arsenal said to be interested.
