Liverpool are interested in signing Norwich City youngster Ciaren Jones, according to Football Insider.
The Reds are looking at a “bargain fee” for the 19-year-old, who is being tipped to be the next young hopeful to make the grade at Carrow Road.
Scouts from Liverpool have watched Jones in action several times this season, with £200,000 the rumoured figure required to sign the centre-back.
Norwich have become famed for their blooding of youngsters, with Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis both coming through the youth system to become key players, and Liverpool-linked Ben Godfrey also shining since moving from York City.
The Canaries are on the verge of promotion back to the Premier League and just one win will secure their place in the top flight in 2019/20.
Jones made the switch to Norwich from Luton Town last summer and his quick progress saw him earn a new deal in February.
The report does state that Liverpool will “face competition” for the defender, though.
