Liverpool have received a boost in their quest to sign Timo Werner, with his release clause believed to be less than originally thought.
Werner is currently in the middle of another excellent season for RB Leipzig, scoring 27 goals to date.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with the German and he has even hinted about potentially wanting to move to Anfield.
Now, Sport1 claim that Werner’s release clause is just £25 million, rather than the rumoured £50-55 million.

This is an undoubted boost for Liverpool, who could get Werner at a cut-price deal, should a move be agreed.
To be able to sign such a top class player for so little would feel like a steal, potentially even freeing up funds to sign other individuals, too.
Werner seemingly has everything in his armoury to thrive at Anfield, whether it be ruthlessness in front of goal, versatility or an admirable work ethic.
His ability to drift in from the left-hand side can deadly, but equally, he can be a poacher down the middle or an effective wide man on the right.
He should provide better competition for the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino if he does arrive at Anfield in the summer.
