Liverpool reportedly offer Fekir lucrative five-year deal

Liverpool have reportedly offered Lyon’s Nabil Fekir a lucrative five-year deal after renewing their interest in the playmaker.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, cited by This is Futbol, the Reds have offered the 25-year-old a five-year deal worth £3.5 million a year.

Recent reports suggested boss Jurgen Klopp has reignited his interest in Fekir and the Reds have made contact with the Ligue 1 side over a possible deal for the Frenchman.

However, it is thought that Liverpool are unwilling to match Lyon’s £44.5 million valuation for Fekir, considering he has just 12 months left on his current deal, so a deal could once again prove to be complex.

Fekir enjoyed a productive season in Ligue 1, scoring 12 times and providing nine assists in all competitions under Bruno Genesio.

The dynamic midfielder looks set to finally be on the move, and Liverpool will be hoping to officially announce Fekir as their player this summer after coming so close 12 months ago.
